Ms. Waltko has over twenty-five years of physician practice operations management as well as hospital administrative experience.
Her previous accomplishments include development and implementation of controls that significantly improved reimbursements
from third party payers and patients. She has been responsible for the implementation of a Quality Assurance monitoring systems
to improve quality and consistency throughout the operations of hospital and physician practices. Her past experience as the Chief
Operating Officer for a company which owned and managed primary care physician practices includes coordination of external and
internal marketing efforts to increase market share, contract negotiations with managed care carriers, development of patient recall
systems, supervision of the management team responsible for the daily activities of over 100 employees, hiring, training,
development and implementation of all policies and procedures for the company practices and monitoring compliance of offices
with federal and state laws and regulations related to both clinical and business operations. With National Medical Enterprises, Inc.,
Ms. Waltko participated in a corporate "trouble shooting" program for other corporate owned facilities and was consulted for
marketing, utilization review, tracking procedures, and accounts receivable turn-around projects for their psychiatric hospital
division. Her focus as the Associate Vice President of Quorum's Physician Practice Management Division included operations,
medical record documentation reviews, CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding to realize appropriate reimbursement potential, accounts
receivable management, physician practice ‘start-ups’, interim and out-sourced practice management, compliance program
implementation and developed and conducted workshops and seminars of the same. She has extensive experience in providing
assistance to academic medical centers, provider-based (hospital-based) practices and rural health clinics. Her expertise in regards
to physician billing compliance has resulted in her recent long-term contract with defense attorneys to provide corrective action and
oversight management to clients subsequent to OIG/Medicare payback settlements. She is an active member of Medical Group
Management Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Who's Who Worldwide, and listed in Two Thousand Notable
American Women.
